MBOX to PDF – Convert Gmail and Thunderbird Emails to PDF (Free)

Need emails from a Gmail export or a Thunderbird mailbox as PDFs — for a court case, an accountant, a landlord or your own archive? Open the .mbox below, pick the emails, and save them as PDF. The file never leaves your computer.

No file handy?

Three ways to get PDFs

  1. One email, exactly as it looks: open it and click Save as PDF, then choose Save as PDF in your browser's print window. Pictures in the email are included.
  2. Several emails: tick them in the list and click Download as PDF.
  3. A whole label or mailbox: choose the label on the left and click Download folder as PDF.

You then choose how the PDFs look: Looks like the email (colours, layout and pictures, as on screen — the default) or Text only (small and fast, best for thousands of emails). You can also put each email's attachments next to its PDF, or join all the emails into one PDF. Each PDF is numbered and named after the subject, and starts with the header (from, to, cc, date, attachment names).

Tips

  • Find the right emails first: search by sender or subject, then Select all to export just those.
  • Big exports take a while: the PDFs are made on your computer. You can press Cancel at any time.
  • Got a single email file instead? Use EML to PDF or MSG to PDF.
