PST to PDF – Save Outlook Emails from a PST File as PDF (Free)

Need emails from an old Outlook data file as PDFs — for a lawyer, an accountant, an HR file or your own records? Open the .pst below, pick the emails, and save them as PDF. It runs in your browser and the file is never uploaded.

Three ways to get PDFs

  1. One email, looking exactly as it does on screen: open it and click Save as PDF. Your browser's print window opens — choose Save as PDF as the printer. Pictures inside the email are included.
  2. Several emails: tick them in the list and click Download PDFs (ZIP).
  3. A whole folder: click Download folder as ZIP.

The ZIP has one PDF per email — numbered, named after the subject — and a folder with each email's attachments next to it. These PDFs carry the header (from, to, cc, date, attachment names) and the text of the email; for the original layout and pictures, use option 1 for the emails that need it.

Good to know

  • Big folders take a while: each email is read and turned into a PDF on your computer. You can keep reading other emails meanwhile, or press Cancel.
  • Attachments are kept as they are — a PDF stays a PDF, a spreadsheet stays a spreadsheet.
  • .ost files (Outlook's offline copy of a Microsoft 365, Exchange or Outlook.com mailbox) work the same way.
  • For a single .msg email rather than a whole mailbox, use MSG to PDF.
